Reporting to Superintendent, Central Projects, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support in order to ensure that department services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.

Key Tasks:

  • Coordination of: meetings and events, travel, catering orders and clean up, interoffice and external mail, postings and announcements, and office supplies
  • Providing time collection support to other site administrators as required for employees
  • SAP department support (i. e. creating work orders, purchase requisitions, etc)
  • Department file management and document control including administration of SAP PPM
  • Maintaining and updating department procedures, unit operating and training manuals, checklists, and other manuals
  • Participate as Department Representative on RFO Committee(s) e. g., United Way, Site Administration meetings, Christmas Luncheon, RFO/FNO Christmas Party, etc
  • Lead Onboarding activities for new employees and contractor computer access, GRC requests, phone, office orientations, etc
  • Track and maintain Projects WO Backlog


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn other software tools as required
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Ability to develop working knowledge of PPM program, including Nutrien s project management process
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance ever changing priorities and confidently handle a varied workload to meet the needs and deadlines of the business with minimal supervision
  • Willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities with the growth of the department and the company, and identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
